So I signed up for this in early July, but when this was posted I noticed my info missing.  I had most of the hoard done except assembling my design.  Then I got fungus on my left hand.  Yuck for the fungus and yuck that I couldn't work on any crafting.  I did however visit most of the others in the list and plan to visit them all by the end of the month.  Not worried that I missed out, it just wasn't meant to be.  On a better note, I'm sharing the list for you to check out the variety of designers that are next door and around the world.

and the winners are.....

I have a To-Do 2013 list for my New Year's resolution
I started by creating 52 Pins on Pinterest

"I was inspired by the movie "Julie and Julia". A spin using Pinterest. 1.) To pin items in which I plan to do, recreate, DIY and cook for 2013. 2.) 52 pins in one year with thousands to choose from. 3.) One pin per week. 4.) A way to keep my creativity in full swing all year long. 5.) As each week passes, I'll update the notes on the completed Pin with details."

My Pinterest

With so many ways to blog, journal, tag and create socially I'm glad i decided to start my blogger page.

In the last blog that I posted I created a OOAK necklace and earring set that I call  Egyptian Steampunk.  Recently on a page that I "LIKE" on facebook I entered my Egyptian Steampunk set into a "CONTEST".
My first ever submission in my jewelry making.

The fan page in which I submitted my entry is

https://www.facebook.com/JLynnJewelsFANpage

I'm happy to announce that I won a prize!
Judge's Color Pick in #5 For the Birds

http://jlynnjewels.blogspot.com/2013/07/summertime-color-challenge-results.html

The excitement in my mind and body is AWESOME.  I spent most of last night....about 4 hours looking at all the designs that J Lynn has on her Etsy website.  I'll take some more time tonight to decide on what item I want to be my prize and make a selection tomorrow.

I can knock winning a prize for a jewelry submission off my 2013 resolution To Do list....which pertains mainly to my crafting and jewelry making.

Saturday, July 20th 2013 I'll be posting my submission
for the Bead Hoarders Blog Hop!
Watch for all of the finished projects here

June 2013 My First Bead Soup Swap

I received the chain, antique gold, copper, silver beads and the black rectangle beads from Jennifer Schold Fore. the tila beads, bugles and spacers are mine

Here's one of the 5 inch side panels (in progress) that I made for the necklace. The panels are 5 strands across.

It took me roughly 16 hours to design and complete my first Bead Swap jewelry set.  In a private group on Facebook I was lucky to get signed up and partake.  The wire wrapped pendant was donated as one of the items that Jennifer Schold Fore crafted herself prior to preparing the swap that she sent me.  Yes, there were those minutes that I just stared at the swap items thinking of how to go about my interpretation of what I have.  I got to use one of the silhouette's that I recently purchased at my 1st Bead Show.

Here's what I sent her for the swap along with her photos as well.

I'm fortunate to be involved in our 2nd Bead Swap for July 2013.  I volunteered to swap with another designer that lives in Canada.  Today and tomorrow I'll be rummaging through my stash of beads, findings, focal and mixed media.

If you are or know someone that will be in the Las Vegas, Nv area on Friday, July 12th, 2013 from 2:00pm-6:00pm I'll be hosting this month's Bead Night at the Lake Mead and Tenaya Michaels location at 7321 West Lake Mead Blvd.  I am the Certified Bead Corner Design Academy Jewelry Instructor at this store.  My favorite item in making jewelry is wire.  I'll find a way to use any gauge of wire that comes in my direction.  Here's the store's facebook page.  Contact the store to inquire on my classes that are currently available.
